Modern Slavery Statement
This statement is made on behalf of SP Cruises OpCo Limited, and all of its affiliates and subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as “Azamara” or the “Company”) pursuant to Section 54(1) of the United Kingdom’s Modern Slavery Act (the “Act”) for the year ending in March 31, 2023. This statement was reviewed and approved by Company Leadership who will review and update it annually.
Azamara has a zero-tolerance policy and approach to any form of modern slavery, which includes forced or compulsory labor, servitude, slavery, and human trafficking. We are committed to preventing these activities in our business activities and ensuring that our supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking. It is our policy to offer equal treatment to employees and prospective employees, ensuring that all are treated fairly and with dignity and respect. As such, this statement sets out the steps that Azamara undertakes to ensure these principles.
Our Business
Azamara is an upmarket cruise line and leader in Destination Immersion experiences. With a fleet of four intimate-style ships, Azamara Journey, Azamara Quest, Azamara Pursuit, and its latest ship, Azamara Onward, the cruise line allows travelers to reach marquee ports around the world and dock in smaller, hidden gem destinations. Azamara aims to Change the Way You Sea, through its commitment to creating immersive experiences for guests through longer stays, more overnights and night touring for a deeper and more meaningful travel experience.
Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains include food and beverage, entertainment, information technology services, communications services, software and hardware suppliers, advertising platforms, social media platforms, print services, property, office cleaning, office supplies and equipment and facilities management services, including energy suppliers, waste management services, couriers, transportation services, such as road transportation, airlines, and train companies, merchandise suppliers, and hospitality service suppliers including venue providers, catering suppliers, professional services such as auditors, actuaries, tax advisors, legal advisors, insurers, banks, and talent and recruitment agencies, and marketing services amongst others. We have reviewed the risks that these supply chains can present. We expect our suppliers and contractors to demonstrate a zero tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking. Suppliers are required to demonstrate that they act ethically and within the law in their use of labor. Where suppliers are unable to demonstrate this standard, we will look to terminate the business relationship.
Due Diligence
Azamara undertakes due diligence when considering using new suppliers, and regularly reviews its existing suppliers. Where possible, we build long standing relationships with local suppliers and make clear our expectations of business behavior and expect our supplier to undertake due diligence with, if applicable, their suppliers.
